Being a growth-oriented, customer-focused company who recently achieved AS9100/ISO9001 registrations, we are seeking an experienced prototype technician to work in our Automotive Component Model Shop. The chosen candidate will work in a clean room type environment as part of a prototype team that interfaces with technical staff and engineers in order to achieve key quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
Skill/Education Requirements:
- Skill and knowledge in machining disciplines such as mills, lathes, and grinding.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings or rough sketches and provide manufacturing instructions.
- Experience participating with technical staff, designers, and engineers to create components to customer specifications.
- Comfort working with microscopes on a frequent basis.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Laser welding experience with high-grade stainless steels, a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent and generally five or more years' experience in this or similar position.
Salary:$17.00 Per Hour
Work Hours:7a.m.-3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required, as needed.
